The Putney Ski Club Bill Koch League has introduced hundreds of area youth to cross country skiing and racing for over 30 years. The Bill Koch League provides a supportive environment for children and parents to get outside and enjoy the snow while learning to ski or improving their skills. The BKL program includes weekly practices and both competitive and non-competitive weekend events, with the emphasis on having fun on skis. COMMUNITY SIGN UP Tuesday, November 27 from 4-6pm at the Putney Public Library. There also will be an opportunity to sign up for the Bill Koch League after the first dryland practice on Dec. 5 at 4pm at The Grammar School. SKi/SKATE SALE at THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL Friday, November 30, at 3:15pm and Monday, December 3, 2012. This is a fundraiser for the Bill Koch Ski League program. Wednesday ski practices run from 3:15-5:00pm at the Grammar School from December 5 through late February. Students are welcome to participate as recreational skiers or racers, and kids of all abilities are encouraged to join the BKL. DECEMBER 2012 SCHEDULE Nov. 27: 4-6pm: Community sign up at the Putney Public Library Nov. 30: 3-5pm: Ski/Skate Sale at TGS Dec 3: 9am-3pm Ski/Skate Sale at TGS Dec 5: Practice 3-4pm, followed by BKL sign up and uniform rental. Dec 8: Grafton Ponds Biathlon - Please check with Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center for details. Dec. 13: 6pm: BKL Family Waxing and Pizza Night at the West Hill Shop - $15.
